The Army recently announced it had reached several milestones in its effort to modernize the recruiting process that was announced last November. In response to a recruitment shortfall in 2019, the service has realigned the Army Marketing and Engagement Brigade under U.S. Army Recruiting Command and appointed the commander of Army Training and Doctrine Command, or TRADOC, as the senior official responsible for recruiting. The Army's effort to increase recruiting efforts in 22 major metropolitan areas is also underway, officials said.
