Military spouses and family members who are looking for up-to-date and reliable information from the Defense Department can now access Military OneSource on their new smartphone app, My Military OneSource.

Users can easily personalize the app by selecting "service member," "military spouse," "family member" or "other," and then by selecting the installation they are closest to. Adding the branch gives more personalized information.

Personalizing the app loads content that might be of interest to you. For example, under the "military spouse" option, you might see content pertaining to your benefits and military life. You can save content and information as a favorite, and find the contact information for your installation.

Perhaps the most efficient section is the "Connect" section which is available on the homepage, and allows you to easily call Military OneSource or visit their website. The app says that a Live Chat option is coming soon.

Military family members frequently turn to Military OneSource for counseling and assistance with financial matters. The app provides them with this information on the go.

Particularly for those in a leadership position, this app puts the information in their hands when, and where, they need it. They can easily pass this information to family members or service members and encourage them to download the app and access the information they need.

The app is available for download on iOS and Android devices.
