Monster Worldwide Names T. L. McCreary President of Military.com

NEW YORK – Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW), the parent company of Monster®, the leading global online careers and recruitment resource today announced the appointment of T. L. McCreary as president of Military.com and vice president, Monster Worldwide. In his new global role, McCreary will lead the Military.com division of Monster Worldwide, the nation's largest military and veteran online membership organization.

During his 27 years of military service, McCreary worked his way up through the ranks and retired from the military in 2006 as a Rear Admiral. Most recently, McCreary held communication director positions with the U.S. Special Operations Command and the National Counterterrorism Center Prior to that, he served on the battleship U.S.S. Missouri (BB-63) during Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. He was the spokesman for the U.S. Fifth Fleet in the Middle East in the mid '90s and then served as the public affairs officer for the United States Pacific Command in the late '90s. He also was a special assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon when it was attacked on September 11, 2001 and assisted with all subsequent communications during that turbulent time.

In addition, McCreary was responsible for the largest transformation of the Navy's public and internal communications since its inception. He also helped lead a complete overhaul of the Navy's globally-ranked Web site to revamp its structure and content, adding new media technologies such as podcasts, streaming video and RSS feeds. He holds a M.S. in Mass Communications and Public Relations from San Diego State University as well as a B.A. in History from Northern Kentucky University.
