MCLEAN, Va – Military.com will hold a free veterans career expo on Thursday, co-sponsored by the Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to help transitioning servicemembers find jobs.
The expo will be held in West Point, NY on Thursday, March 22nd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Thayer Hotel. Senator Gillibrand’s office will co-sponsor this event with Military.com will have representatives on hand to speak with New York veterans, active and reserve service members and their families about accessing federal benefits through the constituent services department, grant opportunities and much more.
“Our veterans answer a call higher than any other,” said Senator Gillibrand. “It is critical that we work to provide our troops with the tools to compete in today’s difficult job market. Our service members represent some of our most talented and productive citizens, and having a stake in their future has always been one of the greatest investments we can make as a nation.”
Private, state and federal employers will be available to meet with potential applicants and discuss hiring opportunities.

Approximately 200,000 veterans transition from the military every year.
