McLean, Va – Military.com unveiled its Equipment Guide today, showcasing the most current information available on equipment used by the United States military.
The Equipment Guide features seven different categories: Military Aircraft, Ships and Submarines, Personal Equipment, Military Vehicles, Weapons, Special Operations Equipment, Ordnance, and Electronics. Each section features detailed information, photos, and videos along with an overall “Most Popular” section.
Currently the three most popular pieces of equipment in the new Guide are all hardware:Â the F-22 Raptor, the M4 Carbine, and the A10 Thunderbolt.
“Military.com is about the total experience including highlighting the gear our forces use to get the job done. This improved Equipment Guide does that in a big way,” said Ward Carroll, Editor of Military.com.
The Guide also features related news stories on equipment like the possibility of retiring the A10 Warthog and the U2 spy plane by the Air Force, or the use of Navy P-8a Poseidon aircraft in support of the search for the missing Malaysian airliner.
T. McCreary, President of Military.com said, “The men and women who serve are the most important part of our national defense, and they are responsible for incredibly complicated and technologically advanced platforms and gear. The Equipment Guide is not only a valuable resource; it’s a testament to the work being done every day by our service members.”
Future additions to the Equipment Guide will include information on foreign military equipment, and historical equipment used by the United States military.
