About Jacey Eckhart

Jacey Eckhart was the Director of Veteran and Spouse Employment Programming and a Certified Professional Career Coach for Military.com’s Veteran Employment Project and the founder of SeniorMilitaryTransition.com. She has helped more than 26,000 veterans and spouses find a post-military job by decoding the mysteries of the civilian hiring process including resume, networking, interview and negotiation.

Trained as a military sociologist, her professional focus is on veteran employment, spouse employment and long military marriage. She has more than 20 years of experience training active-duty military members from the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Space Force, reservists, and the National Guard, including Navy SEALS, Army Delta Force and military families. She is an Advisor to Partners In PROMISE (Protecting the Rights of Military Children in Special Education).  She is a sought-after keynote speaker.

Jacey’s first professional love is the military. She got her start as a military columnist for the Virginian Pilot in Norfolk, VA. She is the author of The Next Door Project, The Homefront Club, and The Signature Strengths of Military Families as well as contributing to other military books including Stories Around the Table.

She holds coaching certifications from Georgetown University, the American Society for Training and Development, and the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches.

Eckhart has been featured as a military family subject matter expert by The New York Times, NBC Dateline, CBS Morning News, CNN, NPR, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, Woman’s Day Magazine and many others.

She is an Air Force brat, active-duty Navy wife, Coast Guard sister and Army mom. Jacey and her husband have enjoyed 38 years of military life, leading to 20 PCS moves and eight deployments.  She currently owns four sets of fine china that she deeply regrets every time she has to unpack them.
