Army looked inspired in the first half to end their 12-game losing streak to Navy in the annual Army-Navy in the first half as the Black Knights took an early 7-0 lead off a blocked punt.

The West Point Corps of Cadets exploded when Army sophomore Xaviev Moss scooped up the ball at Navy's 7-yard line after Josh Jenkins blocked the punt.

The game started with the typical traditions of the 115th Army-Navy game in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is in attendance along with the secretaries of the Army and Navy. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets and Army Apaches executed fly overs before the kickoff.

Army looked ready to add to their lead late in the second half as the Black Knights offense marched into Navy territory, but their drive stalled on a failed fourth down attempt. Navy's offense, led by quarterback Keenen Reynolds, quickly drove down the field keyed by a 39-yard pass to sophomore wide receiver Jamir Tillman.

Navy scored a touchdown on a 9-yard throw by Reynolds to Tillman to cap off the 6-play, 70-yard drive.

The drive recaptured the momentum of the game for Navy, which Army had owned for most of the half.

Until Navy's final drive of the half, Army's defense had bottled up Navy' prolific triple-option attack. Army's defense had limited Navy to only 36 yards total offense until their final drive.

Navy's defense had similarly stifled Army's defense. Army had converted multiple third downs but the offense failed to score in the first half. Army senior fullback Larry Dixon has led the Black Knights with 35-yards on eight carries.
