Adaptive Tactical LLC recently announced it will, at the upcoming 2019 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, unveil a new shotgun forend equipped with a powerful weapon light designed to mount on certain popular tactical shotguns.

The Nampa, Idaho-based firm's new EX Performance Tactical Light Forend is designed to fit on the Remington 870 12-gauge and on Mossberg models such as the 500, 590 and 590M 12-gauge pump shotguns, according to an Adaptive Tactical press release.

The new high-strength polymer forend comes with a compact, 300-lumen weapon light that has a run time of three hours, the release states. The light is powered by two AA batteries and has an easy-to-reach, ambidextrous on/off button as well as three illumination settings -- momentary on, constant on and rapid strobe, according to the release.

The tactical light has a tempered glass lens, an aluminum bezel and is housed in weatherproof, high-strength reinforced polymer, according to the release. It attaches to a 2-inch section of Picatinny rail at the end of the forend with a patented quick-detach thumb screw rail clamp, the release states.

The new forend will be officially unveiled at SHOT Show, which is scheduled for Jan. 22-25, and will retail for about $130.

"The addition of an integrated tactical light in the EX Performance line is an obvious step in expanding the capabilities of our products to include use in low-light conditions," Gary Cauble, director of sales and marketing for Adaptive Tactical, said in the release. "This feature is especially important for our law enforcement and home defense customers."
