U.S. Army brigade combat teams will deploy this summer to Afghanistan, Iraq and Korea to participate in ongoing rotations, according to recent Army announcements. The 82nd Airborne Division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team, stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, will deploy to Afghanistan to replace 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, a March 29 news release states. The Army will deploy the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, out of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, to replace the 101st Airborne Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, according to another news release. Meanwhile, the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, at Fort Hood, Texas, will replace the 1st Armored Division's 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team in Korea. Read more on Military.com.
