The USO Holiday Tour has long been one of our most cherished military traditions, but the in-person trip is yet another casualty of this miserable year.

Fortunately, the USO has taken its mission online and is offering everyone a chance to watch The USO MVP Holiday Special on Thursday, Dec. 17.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley headlines the event because that's what our joint chiefs chairmen do. He'll be joined by his wife, Hollyanne Milley, and Senior Enlisted Adviser to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ramon "CZ" Colon-Lopez.

Tune in at 8 p.m. Eastern on the 17th via the USO's Facebook or YouTube pages to enjoy the show.

USO Holiday Event 2020

Idina Menzel, who's the voice of Elsa in the "Frozen" movies and a Tony-winning Broadway star, will perform a set of holiday and iconic show tunes. Odds of everyone hearing "Let It Go": 100%.

Sports fans will look forward to seeing Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski and Hall of Fame Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw. Don't be surprised if other renowned athletes turn up during the show.

Music fans will also enjoy a visit with country superstar Garth Brooks. Norman Reedus, star of "The Walking Dead," and Kristen Bell from "The Good Place" will also appear. Al Roker from "The Today Show" rounds out the television crew.

Gal Gadot will also appear just a week before her new movie "Wonder Woman 1984" premieres in theaters and on HBO Max.

The set features Christmas trees from Balsam Hill, who have asked the USO to donate the trees to military families after the show.

There's no way this event can match the mad rush of the USO's traditional around-the-world trip, but it has rounded up an impressive array of talent to carry us through 2020. Hopefully, everyone will get their shots, and we'll be back on track in 2021. In the meantime, tune in Thursday for the big show.
