To make a special edition car suitably special, automakers do all sorts of things. They'll keep production limited, offer special graphics, unique features, and occasionally include some special experiences. Giving owners an opportunity to learn how to drive their car, either off-road or on-track, is a common example. For a company like Rimac and its customers, all of that is just expected for a limited-edition car. So, for the Rimac Nevera R Founder's Edition, the company is letting customers do things that would normally be restricted to employees.

We're Not Sure Any Car Company Has Offered Perks Like These

Usually we would talk about the rare sports car's features first, but the perks included with the Founder's Edition really are the unique part of the model. Customers will basically have an all-access pass to Rimac. In some ways, that's quite literal. They'll be issued cards that will let them into the Bugatti Rimac headquarters.

The man in charge, Mate Rimac, will also include these owners in discussions about the company's strategy and various developments. They'll get to know about what's coming and influence what the company does. What car enthusiast hasn't wanted to get all the inside details and help determine future products at their favorite car company? Plus, they'll get to attend "performance showcases and record-breaking runs."

Admittedly, it does seem a little odd to spend an enormous (and undisclosed) amount of money to sort of work at a car company, but there are more traditionally fun perks, too. The owners will get training from Rimac's test drivers to learn how to get the most from their cars. Mate Rimac will also help them personally configure their individual cars, and he'll even deliver them once finished.

The Car Is Unique, Too

These owners aren't just buying access to the company, though. They're also getting a car. Rimac is building just 10 Founder's Edition cars, which will make them extremely rare. They're mostly differentiated from other Nevera Rs by their paint and interior schemes, though. They will all feature a two-tone exterior with central stripes, and the interior will be two-tone, as well, with customers getting to select the different colors and materials used.

The interior will be split by driver and passenger sides, which is a nod to Mate Rimac's personal car. Furthermore, unique badging and embroidery highlight the car's special status and commemorate important dates for the company, such as the launch of the Concept One. Mate Rimac said in a press release that he was "humbled" by the people who believed in his ideas, and that he wanted to offer a vehicle that could let people get closer to the people and company that make the cars.
