Nintendo is giving some fans a chance to try out the upcoming Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment early, with demos rolling out to select retailers. With the launch of the newest Legend of Zelda spinoff less than a week away, Nintendo has given fans lots to look forward to in the Breath of the Wild prequel. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will offer more than ten different playable characters for players to choose from, most recently revealing a playable Korok character named Calamo and the "Mysterious Construct." Now, some fans will get to try out the game a bit early.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Gets Encouraging Update

The third Hyrule Warriors spinoff plays an important role in the overarching story in the Breath of the Wild-era games. The game's story follows Zelda after being transported into the distant past during the events of Tears of the Kingdom, with fans getting a full view of the "Imprisoning War" mentioned throughout both games' stories. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will also introduce Zonai devices to the standard Warriors-formula combat, taking plenty of the devices featured in Tears of the Kingdom. Early demos of Age of Imprisonment are now making their way to several retailers.

Nintendo of America officially revealed a limited rollout of demos of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment to certain retailers. The post reveals that select Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart locations will be hosting demos of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment ahead of the game's release. The post does not provide any details about what characters or stages will be playable, though characters like Zelda, Rauru, and potentially the Sages will likely be available. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will fully release later this week on November 6.
