Navy SEAL John Clark may be only the second-most popular character created by Tom Clancy, but Clark's just as compelling as Jack Ryan and he's finally got a movie with "Tom Clancy's Without Remorse," coming to Amazon Prime on April 30, 2021.

Michael B. Jordan stars in the movie based on Clancy's novel. After his pregnant wife is murdered by Russian soldiers in retaliation for his spec ops work, Clark vows vengeance and sets off John Wick-style to deliver justice.

The first trailer has just been released, and you can watch it below.

"Tom Clancy's Without Remorse" was helmed by the gifted Italian director Stefano Sollima, who made his English-language debut with "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" and made the epic Italian gangster series "Gomorrah" that's currently streaming on HBO Max.

The screenplay was adapted from the novel by Taylor Sheridan and Will Staples. Sheridan wrote both "Sicario" movies and "Hell or High High Water" and created and currently oversees the hit Paramount series "Yellowstone." Staples got his start writing for video games like "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," wrote for "The Right Stuff" series and gets his first feature credit on "Without Remorse."

Jordan has established himself as a big-time movie star in the "Creed" films, and he almost stole the movie when he played Erik Killmonger in Marvel's "Black Panther." His co-stars in "Without Remorse" include Jodie Turner-Smith ("Queen & Slim") as fellow SEAL Karen Greer, Jamie Bell ("Turn: Washington's Spies") and Guy Pearce ("The Last Vermeer").

Will Clark's investigation unearth secrets that lead to war between the USA and Russia? How relentless can one SEAL be? We'll find out at the end of April.
