1 December 2017 Military Pay

Thanksgiving is in two days, and Black Friday is in three days. Even though it has been less than a week since last payday, people are looking for those paychecks! The next regular, active duty military payday is next Friday, 1 December 2017. Some folks will see their military pay available for use in their bank account a day or two earlier, based upon the policies and practices of their bank or credit union. When will your 1 December 2017 military pay be credited to your bank account?

USAA

USAA credits pay deposits one business day prior to the actual payday. For this pay period, that will be Thursday, 30 November 2017.

Many folks want to know what time USAA will credit their pay account. According to my friends at USAA, pay credits can happen any time during the day. Those credits often turn up earlier in the day, but it can be later.

Navy Federal Credit Union

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) pay deposit dates cause a lot of confusion, because there are actually two dates. NFCU Members who use an Active Duty Checking account for their military pay deposit have their pay credited a day before the actual business day. NFCU members who use another type of checking account have their pay deposited on the actual business day.

For this pay period, NFCU members using Active Duty Checking may see their pay pending on Wednesday, 29 November 2017.  It will be posted overnight and available for use on Thursday, 30 November 2017.

NFCU members using any other type of checking account may see their pay pending on Thursday, 30 November 2017.  It will be posted overnight and available for use on Friday, 1 December 2017.

Pacific Marine Credit Union

Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) credits military pay two business days prior to the actual military payday. For this payday, that will be Wednesday, 29 November 2017.

Service Credit Union

Service Credit Union credits military pay two business days prior to the actual military payday. For this payday, that will be Wednesday, 29 November 2017.

While this isn't a particularly long pay period, it does have some extra expenses. Not sure how you'll get through? You may find ideas in Eight Ways To Get Through A Long Pay Period.  If that isn't enough, please consider visiting your branch's relief society for assistance.

Happy Thanksgiving!
