"Army Strong" doesn't tell the whole story, Sergeant Major of the Army Dan Dailey says.

The Air Force Reserve is kicking out a recruit after a video surfaced of her allegedly displaying racist behavior.

Gunnery Sgt. Joseph Felix was drunk on power all the time, a military prosecutor argued on Wednesday.

An attorney said the government wants a seven-year sentence, accompanied by demotion to private and dishonorable discharge.

The U.S. Army said it has made no changes to its policy for granting mental health waivers to recruits entering the service.

"The standards have not changed," Sgt. Major of the Army Daniel Dailey told a group of defense reporters.

Recruits with a more sedentary background have seen rising injury levels, an official said.

The MAVNI program was a fast track to citizenship for some. Now its future, and that of those in the program, is uncertain.

Although the Army will fall short of its recruitment goal, retention rates have increased from 81 to 86 percent.

The Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps all plan to increase their personnel levels in fiscal 2019.
