The U.S. Air Force has realigned some of its major space wings and transferred their missions to the Space Force.

The Space Force announced that it has chosen 2,410 members within the space operations and space systems operations fields.

The DoD unveiled its Defense Space Strategy designed to "serve as the roadmap to advance our nation's military space power."

"Some people look to the stars and ask, 'What if?' Our job is to have an answer," the commercial states.

The U.S. Air Force has identified 23 organizations and units that will transition to the U.S. Space Force.

Some names floating around already include Guardians, Sentinels and Vanguards.
