Plane Extinguishes Raging Fire

The footage, broadcast on 1TV earlier this month, shows flames leaping around 10-metres above the house as it blazes at the side of a highway. Moments later the plane swoops downs and dumps a huge load of water directly on top of the burning building, extinguishing the flames and leaving the surrounding area soaked. A camera filming closer to the house shows the underside of the plane as it dumps the water before fire fighters move in to finish the job. It is believed the plane in the video is a Veriev Be-200 Altair, which can carry up to 12,000 litres of water.
