Builders Sea Trials for the Future USS Wichita (LCS 13)

    LAKE MICHIGAN (July 11, 2018) Future USS Wichita (LCS 13) conducts Acceptance Trials, which are the last significant milestone before a ship is delivered to the Navy. LCS-13 is a fast, agile, focused-mission platform designed for operation in near-shore environments as well as the open-ocean. It is designed to defeat asymmetric “anti-access” threats such as mines, quiet diesel submarines and fast surface craft.
