Recruit Gets One Incredible Surprise

    It was a special night on the baseball diamond for Des Moines Lincoln and for one member of the team in particular. It was the annual “Honor the Military” night complete with camouflage jerseys. Senior Chandler Baty had better get used to camouflage. He’s joining the National Guard to become a helicopter pilot and mechanic. Before Wednesday’s game, he renewed his oath to the military with a mock swearing in ceremony.
