The History of the XVIII Airborne Corps

    The XVIII Airborne Corps was first activated in 1942 in support of the United States entry into World War II. It is known for heavy involvement in Operation Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge, and Operation Varsity. Today, the Corps contains prestigious units like the 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Infantry Division, 10th Mountain Division and 44th Medical Brigade.
