Botched Assassination Attempt in Ukraine

Basil Tretetsky, the head of the Mirgorod city council (Ukraine) was attacked by armed men earlier this week. He was shot a number of times, including in the leg and lower body. Fortunately the bullets missed all vital organs. He was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he remains now recovering from his injuries. Doctors are unsure whether or not he will make a full recovery but he is expected to survive.
