1960's Vibration Tests On Pilots

Share

In order to determine the effects of vibrations on the human body the United States Air Force performed a number of "vibration platform" tests. These tests could change the frequency and intensity of the vibrations. In this short film we see the results of a low frequency (4hz) vibration - clearly it would be very difficult for a pilot or astronaut to perform any useful functions when such vibrations occurred.
