Monday Image Porn: Marines' KC-130J Harvest Hawk

Happy Monday, to kick this week we thought we'd give you this great image of what might be the biggest close air support aircraft ever used by the Marine Corps. It's a shot of four Hellfire anti-tank missiles mounted on the wing of one of the Corps' KC-130J Hercules outfitted with the Harvest Hawk weapons package.

As you can see, it currently carries four Hellfires on one of the outer wing hardpoints normally used to carry aerial refueling pods along with ten 45-pound, GPS-guided Griffin air to surface missiles on the rear cargo ramp. The plane uses an AN/AAQ-30 Targeting Sight System mounted on the left external fuel tank to provide overwatch to troops on the ground and target the weapons. There are rumors the birds may receive 30 mm Cannons sometime in the future. We're still waiting for some cool video to emerge of the Harvest Hawks in action over Afghanistan.
