These Military Kids Got a 'Winter Wonderland' Surprise

If you're a military child you probably don't love deployment. But deployment over the holiday season is a particular kind of bummer.

That's why the Winter Wonderful holiday party put on by Yellow Ribbons United seems sol, well, wonderful.

About 150 military kids and parents attended the fun Washington, D.C. area holiday party Dec. 4. This is the fourth years running that organization has put on such a soiree.

Presents? Check. Games? Check. Cookies? Check. Santa Claus? Check. Holiday cheer? Oh yes -- check.

This year the kids also got to hang out with Washington Redskins player Arie Kouandjio.

Yellow Ribbons United is one of the many national and local organizations that reaches out to military and Gold Star kids over the holidays.
