Black History Month

Do you know who the Tuskegee Airmen are? What about the Montford Point Marines? Each of these units have made significant contributions to the U.S. military.

And yet, despite these units' vast contributions to the military, most people don't know who they are. Celebrating Black History Month not only helps Americans recognize the achievements of Blacks in the military, but it also helps Americans realize that Black history is American history, too.

In honor of Black History Month, Military.com has assembled resources and features on Black military history. Learn about the obstacles that Black service members have overcome and read about their valiant deeds and achievements.
